Jennifer + Shane

Jennifer and Shane were married this morning at the Chapel Dulcinea south of town. It was a lovely, personal ceremony that finally brought these two together.

Shane is in the Army and just returned from a tour in Iraq two days ago.Thank goodness he made it in time for the wedding. :) It looked a little iffy there for awhile.

Jennifer and Shane's wedding gets two honorary titles. The first is Coldest Wedding Ever! It may have been 79 yesterday, but it wasn't today. The open air Chapel is out away from any thing that might block the wind and it was gusting hard. The wind chill was...really cold. ;) Jennifer, total trooper that she is, managed to walk the path to the Chapel and stand through the ceremony while wearing a light weight sleeveless gown!

The second honorary title is Smallest Guest List wedding. Shane and Jennifer decided to have just their parents witness their vows. It made the ceremony about them and what they share - very personal.

Virginia and Nate

Virginia and Nate were married last night at St. David's Episcopal Church downtown. The old church was packed with family and friends. It was a beautiful ceremony!

The night picked up when everyone moved a few blocks over to the Austin Club. It's another grand old Austin building and it was packed as well. The Brian Turner Redneck Cowboy Band entertained the crowd with some rockin' music.

Virginia and Nate left in a shower of rose petals and a surprise horse and carriage ride provided by Virginia's parents. It was a great night!

AWD - Bridal Fair in San Marcos

Katie and I were at the Bridal Events of Distinction Show for Austin Wedding Day magazine yesterday in San Marcos at the new Embassy Suites Conference Center. It was a great event! The conference center is great and the turn out of brides and engaged couples was fantastic. I met a lot of really nice people and I really hope Katie and I will be shooting their weddings!

We were please to see one of our weddings made the Distinctive Weddings for the AWD magazine. This is our third year in a row to have a featured wedding. In case you see the magazine on newstands in the next few days, check out pg. 396! You'll see Ashley and Andrew and their wedding. I love seeing my photos in print. :)
